To Apply for a State of Nebraska City of Omaha Liquor License |

- Download a form or contact the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission (NLCC). phone: (402)-471-2571 - Licensing Division.
- Once the application is complete, return it with the proper fees and documents to the NLCC
- The NLCC will forward your application to the City of Omaha City Clerk's Office
- The City Clerk's Office will contact you to schedule a City Council hearing and, if required, will request a 500 foot property search. Also the Clerk's office will request additional information in regards to the application i.e.: listed officers on the application, their home address, attorney's information, etc.
- The City Council meets Tuesdays at 2:00pm
- If the 500 foot property search is required, you will need to contact a certified title company to order the search. See #10 of the Liquor Rules of the City Council of the City of Omaha
- The City of Omaha Permits and Inspections Department will post a notice on the premise to be licensed
- You are required to have your location inspected by the Agricultural/Health Department, Fire Marshall and the State Patrol before your license can be issued. These departments will forward their reports to the NLCC
- The NLCC will forward your liquor license to the City Clerk's Office. You will be notified when your license has arrived. You will need to pay an occupation tax in the City Cashier's Office before you can pick up the license from the Clerk's Office
