BIOGRAPHY Councilmember Jerram is a first-term elected representative of District #3 to the Omaha City Council. He serves as Chair of the City Council’s Public Safety Committee and also sits on the Law Committee, Labor Negotiations Committee and Parks, Recreation and Convention & Visitors Bureau Committee. Chris and his wife Jennifer have been married for over 20 years and have two children, Katie and Shannon. The family is very active in the Holy Cross Catholic Church and Chris has served as school board member for Holy Cross and an active Knights of Columbus member since 2002 – having served as Grand Knight from 2004-2006. Councilmember Jerram came to Omaha in 1988 to attend Creighton School of Law and has practiced law in Omaha for the last twenty years which has taken him to many State and Federal courts in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas. He has also served as President of the Morton Meadows Neighborhood Association and still volunteers on its Citizen’s Neighborhood Watch Patrol.   He was appointed by Governor Nelson and reappointed by Governor Johanns to the Board of Directors of the Governor’s Council member to Keep Nebraska Beautiful and in 2001, he was appointed to serve on the Omaha Zoning Board of Appeals where he served as Chairman. Chris and Jennifer led the “Feed the Firefighters” program for Station #34 for many years as a small gesture of thanks to those who protect us and our property. Something you may not know about Chris is in his free time you may be able to catch him running throughout the neighborhood preparing for the next full or half-marathon. He has finished five full marathons.
