Melinda started as the City’s Parks Director on February 16, 2010.
The Park’s Department manages the City’s parks, community centers, pools, golf courses, ice rinks, pavilions, and many other recreational activities in the City of Omaha including Hummel Day Camp and the Sun Dawgs program. The Parks and Recreation Department also manages the enforcement of the City’s Weeds and Litter ordinances, City parking garages, Rosenblatt Stadium, Lewis & Clark Landing, and the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge.
