Mayor Suttle Seeks Applicants for City Boards and Commissions

JANUARY 24, 2012: Omaha Mayor Jim Suttle announced several upcoming openings on City of Omaha Boards and Commissions today. The Mayor will appoint a qualified candidate to each of the following positions and in most cases City Council approval will be required.

- Parks and Recreation Board
- Transit Authority Board
- Mayor’s Advisory Commission for Citizens with Disabilities
- Landmarks Heritage Preservation Commission
- Architects/Engineers Review and Selection Committee
- Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Board

“Omaha is a city rich with talent and diversity and our Boards and Commissions reflect that,” said Mayor Suttle. “I look forward to working with all of our board members to make Omaha a better place to live, work, and play.”
