Aquatic Facilities Dress Code Variance Policy
This dress code variance policy is designed to provide equal access to persons that for either physical/medical or religious reasons cannot comply with the City's dress code for admission into aquatic facilities.
Physical / Medical Request
A dress code variance may be granted to individuals for physical / medical reasons. The requesting individual must provide reasonable information supporting his or her request for the variance. A written doctor's note may be required.
Religious Request
A dress code variance may be granted to individuals for religious beliefs. The requesting individual must provide reasonable information supporting his or her request for the variance.
Request Form
When using the downloaded request form, customers are required to bring two completed copies to the pool with them for approval. If approved, one copy will remain on site and one copy will be kept by the customer.
Approval
Every effort will be made to review the variance request immediately on site. However some circumstances may require a longer review process. If approved, a copy of the variance will be given to the requesting individual for his or her records. The customer must present the copy at the aquatic facility for admission.
If approved, dress code variance will be for that swim season only. A new request is required for every swim season. The City has two swim seasons, summer (June - August) and school year / winter (September - May).
If granted, the variance will allow the requesting individual entrance into the facility but not participation in water activities. All other aquatic facility rules will apply.
