The Planning Board is a seven-member board whose members normally meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 1:30 pm in the Civic Center Legislative Chambers to consider the following:

• land subdivision and zoning proposals
• street vacations and dedications
• disposal of surplus property
• review proposed changes to the elements of the City's master plan 

The Board holds public hearings to receive information from the applicant and other interested parties.  They make recommendations through the Mayor's office to the City Council for it's consideration and legislative action. 

The Planning Department provides standardized procedures and application forms to assist the public in preparing presentations to the Planning Board.
