The City is a partner with Family Housing Advisory Services (FHAS) to provide housing education and counseling to individuals participating in its homebuyer programs.  These services are also available to individuals who find themselves in need of housing education and counseling. 

FHAS services include:

• Budget counseling
• Credit repair
• Managing credit accounts
• Tenant counseling
• Preparing first time home buyers
• Advocacy for potential Reverse Equity Mortgages
• Aid in preventing foreclosure

FHAS also provides investigative, educational, and advocacy services to help enforce fair housing laws.
