Destination Midtown is one of the largest and most proactive planning studies in the history of Omaha. It was guided by a unique, first-of-its-kind partnership of eighborhoods, large and small businesses, institutions, and the City. The goal of the process was to establish a framework to assist Midtown return to prominence and make it a “destination of choice” within the metropolitan area. |

The purpose of this document is to visually depict and describe a series of improvements that will further enhance Historic Florence. The results of the recommendations included within this plan should attract new businesses and residents, spark capital improvementexpenditures, draw local and regional tourists to the area, and instill additional community pride in Florence residents. | |

The Urban Design Element of the City of Omaha’s Master Plan recognizes the importance of street design to the overall character of the city, and recommends creation of a Green Streets Master Plan to delineate streets that should be subject to special street landscaping planting and maintenance requirements. | |

The Sanitary Interceptor Sewer Element is updated periodically to analyze the interceptor sewer requirements for the Papillion Creek Watershed and to evaluate the projected revenues and expenditures of the Interceptor Fund. The Plan was last reviewed and updated in 2004. HDR was retained by the City of Omaha to provide the 2009 update to the Master Plan. | |
