Urban Design

The Urban Design Section of the Omaha Planning Department is responsible for implementation and administration of urban design zoning for the City of Omaha.

Primary activities include:

• Implementing the Urban Design Element of the Omaha Master Plan by creating urban design districts.
• Assist in the preparation of Neighborhood Conservation/Enhancement (NCE) Plans.
• Provide urban design siteplan reviews for development within urban design districts.
• Provide landscape reviews for building permit applications.
• Provide administive support for the Urban Design Review Board.
• Provide administive support for the Historic Landmarks and Preservation Commission.
