Mission Statement: To effectively meet the transportation and environmental quality needs of the citizens of Omaha.

The City of Omaha's Public Works Department provides many of the basic services that affect the daily lives of all who live and work in Omaha.  The Department's key responsibilities are the design, construction and maintenance of the City's infrastructure including sewers, streets and traffic control, as well as fleet management and wastewater treatment.

The Department is organized into two sections with 11 divisions: Environmental Services and Transportation Services
