The Traffic Engineering Division provides the City of Omaha with the following services:
- Traffic Planning and Design
- Reviewing the Development Plan
- Collecting data, studies, funding and administering 56,000 street lights
The Traffic Engineering personnel conduct
- 300 traffic studies per year
- 500 traffic counts per year
The City of Omaha has
- 1000 traffic signals, lane lights and flashers
- 880 miles of streets striped
- 110,000 traffic signs
- 3,300 parking meters
- 450 projects barricaded
